The RomPager Java Graphlets Toolkit consists of a series of Java applets
that interface with the embedded Web server to retrieve variable information
and display it graphically. The applets are parameter driven and may be
configured externally (without modifying the Java source code) to display
different variables, data ranges, colors, titles, etc.
The RomPager Java Graphlets Toolkit is available now, and includes the full
Java source code, documentation, compiled byte codes as well as the RomPager
internal format.
Java is an object oriented language and these applets use common
objects to reduce memory usage. If all the applets were coded individually,
the size of the stored byte code would be about 115Kb. Because of sharing,
the entire collection of applets can be stored in 42Kb. For example, the
Single Bar Chart applet takes 17.5Kb if it is the first applet stored. The
Multiple Bar Chart Applet by itself would take 22Kb, but because of object
sharing only requires 7Kb additional.
The links below show sample snapshots from the RomPager Java Graphlets Toolkit.
The snapshots show one Graphlet per page. Descriptions of the parameters used to
invoke the Graphlet are shown on each page.
